How does walk-in shower installation work?
We aim to make the installation process as seamless as possible for you and your family. Once your walk-in shower is ready to install, a customer service representative will get in touch to arrange a time for us to complete the installation. The actual installation process is quick, usually completed in as little as 1-2 days. First, we’ll remove your existing tub or shower and disposes of or recycles it. Then, our highly trained, certified installers carefully install your walk-in shower and clean up once we’re finished, leaving your new walk-in shower ready for use.
Are there VA-approved walk-in showers?
Veterans may qualify for financial assistance on their walk-in shower installation with certain grants from the Department of Veterans Affairs, which may have dispensations for features like roll-in showers. Can I put a door on a walk-in shower?
Yes, you can add a door to a walk-in shower. Our Deluxe Shower, ShowerSpa and ShowerSpa LE models all have optional sliding glass doors you may choose to include in your installation package.
Can I add grab bars to my walk-in shower?
Our walk-in showers come with two grab bars installed on every model: one grab bar by the threshold and another L-shaped grab bar on the side of the stall. These provide support when entering, exiting or simply navigating the stall. Should you need more custom support options, we will be happy to discuss at your at-home consultation.
What is the weight capacity of a walk-in shower?
Our walk-in showers have built-in seats that can safely accommodate up to 350 lbs. We also offer an upgrade for the seat with extra-thick pads that can support up to 550 lbs.
