How to Clean Your Walk-In Tub
- When you are finished using your tub, be sure to rinse all surfaces with warm water using your shower wand.
- Once a week, wash all of your tub’s surfaces using a mild solution of non-abrasive, non-ammonia cleaner.
- Each month, purge and clean the tub’s entire system to remove body oils, bath oils, soap residue and other build-up. Do this by filling your tub to a level just above the highest whirlpool jet with warm water.
- Then, mix a cup of bleach and a spoonful of automatic dishwashing soap into the water. Turn your system on, let it run for 15 minutes and drain the water.
- Next, refill the tub with warm water only. Let the system run for an additional 15 minutes to rinse out the tub’s plumbing. Drain your tub and use the shower wand to rinse off the surface before wiping it with a soft clean cloth.
How to Clean Your Walk-In Shower
- When you are finished using your shower, rinse all surfaces with warm water using the shower wand. This helps prevent buildup of soap scum, bacteria, minerals and other residue.
- Once per week, wash all of your shower’s surfaces using a mild solution of non-abrasive, non-ammonia cleaner.
- If your walk-in shower has Silk-Spray™ body jets, rinse then blot dry any water from the panel and jets after use. Clean with non-abrasive, non-ammonia cleaners only. We recommend a mild soap and water, with a non-abrasive sponge to wash and soft cloth to dry.
- For a deeper clean of the body jets, you can apply an auto spray wax that helps protect the surface shine and prevent hard water stains. Note: Wax is slippery! Keep wax away from flooring and other shower surfaces.
